Color correction is the work Rene most enjoys, and it is the least predictable thing a stylist does. Every correction starts from a different place: a home kit that went darker than the picture, bands from repeated root touch-ups, brass coming through a blonde, or highlights pulled too close together.
There is no single formula for it. It depends on what is already on your hair, how much of it there is, and what condition the hair is in underneath. That is why she will not quote a correction over the phone without seeing it, and why the honest answer is sometimes more than one appointment.
What she will do is tell you up front what is realistic. Getting from a dark box dye to a clean blonde in one sitting is usually not, and any stylist who promises it is risking your hair. Rene would rather get you there safely across two visits than hand you something that breaks.
No price list, because it depends on your hair. Rene quotes you before she starts.

- Can Rene fix box dye?
- Usually, yes. It depends how many layers of it are on the hair and how dark it went. Text her a photo in natural light and she will tell you what she thinks before you come in.
- Will it take more than one appointment?
- Sometimes. Large changes, especially going much lighter, are safer across two visits with time in between. Rene will tell you which it is before starting rather than partway through.
- How much does color correction cost?
- It depends entirely on what is already on your hair and how much of it there is, which is why there is no price list for it. Rene quotes you in person before she begins.
- Can you get rid of brassy tones?
- Yes. Brass is one of the most common reasons people come in, and toners and glosses handle most of it.
- Is my hair too damaged to fix?
- Occasionally the right answer is to condition it and wait, or to cut some length off. Rene will say so rather than push ahead and make it worse.
